LYNN LOTT


Lynn Lott is a nationally-known therapist in marriage, child, and family counseling. She has traveled across the nation presenting lectures and workshops.  Everywhere she goes, people enjoy her lively, interactive, informative, thought-provoking and useful presentations.  Lynn has co-authored over a dozen books including Do-It-Yourself Therapy. Positive Discipline for Teenagers, Positive Discipline A-Z, Positive Discipline in the Classroom, Positive Discipline for Parenting in Recovery, and Chores Without Wars.  She has appeared on the Phil Donahue Show, The Today Show, The Home Show and Joan Rivers.  She is a diplomate in Adlerian Psychology.

A DISTINGUISHED CAREER
Lynn works as a marriage & family therapist in private practice in both Santa Rosa and Pt. Richmond, California. She founded and directed the Family Education Center for 13 years, founded Summerfield Counseling and Educational Services, worked as an Associate Professor at Sonoma State University, teaching courses in nursing, psychology, counseling and education and has served as a member of the California State Advisory Board for Drug Prevention Programs.   Some of the organizations Lynn has consulted with include Kaiser Permanente, North American Society of Adlerian Psychologists, the Sonoma County Foundation, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Office of Criminal Justice.

A STRONG EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Lynn holds a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from the University of San Francisco (1978) and a Masters Degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University (1977).  She is a licensed MFT and a BBSE Provider in California.
